John G. Hall
Making The Dark Visible
In my life I have known so many brilliant writers that I know don’t get read like they should. And they probably never will. Each time it puts a weight or burden on me. I have to do what I can to try to change that. It seems to be almost criminal to me. John G. Hall is one of those Poets. Reading this newest work I can honestly say that he has evolved into a Master Poet.
John G. Hall is a veteran Poet. It shows in his work. The short lines/breaths, no wasted motion, no filler. Everything left on the page, is there to be consumed. A very Zenlike approach.
Like any true veteran artist Hall has lived long and hard on the edge, has seen too much shit, and now has a story to tell. This experience shines through in his Poems.
This book makes you want to keep reading. You get caught up in the beautiful rhythm of the Poems. Until it is kind of a quick, easy read, but what a ride, and look into this writers soul.
John G. Hall’s Poetry is like music, and over the years he has learned to be a fine composer. This music will awaken the sleeping soul. It reminds me how simple this craft should always be. How it can say anything as long as it says it. - Michael D. Grover
