: "The Sonnets" A free poetry collection by Karina Bush

I don't like Sonnets. I always draw a connection to Shakespeare and I can't stand Shakespeare. When Karina Bush announced that she is releasing a free collection of sonnets, I still jumped right at it. Karina Bush is a master poet armed with a sword slicing your beliefs and desires to bleed out in afterthought of reading her works. It is raw and profound.
I was right. I enjoyed these Sonnets. Disturbing. Weird. Visceral. Nothing like Shakespeare, better!
Imagine a drive thru strip club. Red lights, dystopian visuals as dancers dance with gss masks and latex gloves and at the end the bouncer rips a shotgun blast through your windshield, cutting your face and eyes.
That's what Bush's interpretation of Sonnets felt like. - Niklas Stephenson
